The main building – the « Palaceto » – is a historic residence built at the beginning of the 20th century. This ancient mansion is an iconic site and a testimony to the history of this region in southern Portugal.

In 2011, the « Palaceto » was completely renovated and redesigned by a famous architect by the name of Graça Viterbo. The original structure – as well as the original Portuguese style « azulejo » paintings – are perfectly preserved and maintained.
